Employment Memo

 CHAPTER 9  Assignments

Introduction
2200
An employer may want an employee to work for the benefit of another undertaking during the course of their employment, for example if the employee's job is such that it needs to be performed in a different office, or when the employer wants the employee to gain additional experience. This is referred to as an assignment or secondment of the employee. This chapter outlines the issues involved, including the special rules and considerations that apply to assignments abroad.
