Whilst on maternity leave an employee may work for up to ten days without losing any Statutory Maternity Pay and without the risk of bringing her maternity leave to a premature end. KIT days may be
taken during the period of ordinary or additional maternity leave (but not during the period of compulsory maternity leave immediately after birth). The "work" may include anything that would qualify
as "keeping in touch", so apart from carrying out work or training, it could also involve attending team meetings....
